Mediaset: Pioli puts full trust in Chelsea loanee Tomori as Kjaer will not be rushed

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is seemingly ready to put his faith in Fikayo Tomori once again ahead of Sunday’s game at San Siro, a report claims.

Il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) reported yesterday that Tomori made an excellent impression on the whole Rossoneri staff with his first two matches in a Milan shirt. The paper explains that positive feedback comes from Milanello on the Englishman, who has settled in very quickly and has adapted to the mechanisms of the team well.

According to what SportMediaset are reporting (via MilanNews), the medical staff will not rush the recovery of Simon Kjaer who suffered a thigh problem in the Coppa Italia quarter-final. On Sunday afternoon therefore in the home match against Crotone, Pioli is set to pick Tomori against alongside Romagnoli.

There is a €30m buy-out clause included in the loan deal and the Rossoneri need to decide at the end of the season whether to sign him or not. On our podcast, we spoke to Fabrizio Romano about the situation and the chances of Tomori staying.
