Mediaset: The method behind Ibrahimovic’s rest – he wants to start vs. Inter and Juventus

Zlatan Ibrahimovic wants to be available to play both Sunday’s derby against Inter and next week’s Coppa Italia semi-final against Juventus, a report claims.

Having missed the game against Hellas Verona due to a combination of flu and muscle fatigue, there were some worries when MilanNews.it reported on Thursday that Ibrahimovic carried out personalised work at Milanello for the third day in a row.

However, a number of different outlets – including Calciomercato.com – are now claiming that Ibrahimovic will be on the field from the first minute in the derby against Inter.

The Swedish striker has simply chosen to manage his body independently, and between now and tomorrow he will return to train with the rest of his team-mates. Il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews.it) echo these reports.

According to the latest from SportMediaset (via MilanNews.it), there is method behind Ibrahimovic’s extended rest: the 38-year-old wants to play both Sunday against Inter and then Thursday against Juventus in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final.

With Zlatan on the pitch from the first minute, Milan have won every game so far.
