MEN: Milan want €100m for star man but Man Utd have other priorities

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have set a high asking price for Rafael Leao as interest continues to mount from clubs abroad, according to a report.

The Manchester Evening News are reporting that Milan value Rafael Leao at €100m heading into the January window, with his deal currently set to expire in June 2024 and a difficult negotiation ahead to secure a renewal.

Leao was the Serie A MVP as Milan won the Scudetto last season while this season he has 8 goals in 20 appearances across all competitions, also scoring twice for Portugal at the World Cup in Qatar.

The MEN report goes on to state that Manchester United are ‘yet to register any concrete interest’ in Leao despite being linked with the winger, who is represented by agent Jorge Mendes, a man United know well given he has managed Cristiano Ronaldo’s career for almost two decades.

Instead, the outlet state that the Red Devils are more keen on Napoli striker Victor Osimhen but ‘have little chance of prising him’ from them, while Leao’s compatriot Goncalo Ramos is also seen as an intriguing profile.

  1. So… It’s newsworthy that ManUtd isn’t interested in Leao. What’s next? Bayern isn’t interested? Inter isn’t interested? Arsenal too?
