AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is set to persistent with Junior Messias as the right wing-back for the game against Atalanta, according to a report.
Peppe Di Stefano of Sky (via MilanNews) reports that Olivier Giroud will return to lead the line taking the place of Divock Origi with Rafael Leao and Brahim Diaz keeping their spots to complete the attacking trident.
In the midfield it will be Rade Krunic partnering Sandro Tonali again given Ismael Bennacer is not yet back from injury and Junior Messias should be confirmed on the right after his goal and the good performance against Monza. Theo Hernandez will be on the left with the captain’s armband.
In defence, the trio of Pierre Kalulu, Malick Thiaw and Fikayo Tomori should remain in the line-up and finally there is a doubt regarding the goalkeeper position as Mike Maignan has fully recovered but caution is needed while Ciprian Tatarusanu has not been beaten for three games in a row.
