AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli will have to do without Junior Messias for at least the next couple of games as he has picked up a muscle problem, a report claims.
During the second half of the draw against Spurs on Wednesday night just after Brahim Diaz had won a free-kick, Messias dropped to the floor and began clutching the back of his thigh. It soon became obvious it was a muscle issue and he was replaced by Alexis Saelemaekers.
According to the information we have learned, the Brazilian underwent an instrumental examination this morning which showed a lesion of the biceps femoral muscle of his right thigh. Another scan will be carried out in about ten days.
That means Pioli will be without Messias for the game against Salernitana on Monday night at San Siro and most likely the trip to Udinese the following weekend too, with Saelemaekers, Alessandro Florenzi and Sergino Dest among the candidates to replace him.
