GdS: Milan set to make over €8m from Napoli first leg tickets

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan are expecting to make just over €8 million from the Champions League quarter-final first-leg match against Napoli with a sold-out San Siro, a report claims.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), the stadium is going to be sold out for the match on Wednesday night which means around 75,000 spectators are going to be in position.

That means that around €8 million will be made, the second highest gate receipts collection for Milan. The round of 16 against Tottenham Hotspur saw over €9 million be raised.

There were hopes that the club could break the record by reaching the €10 million mark but it has not panned out that way.

There is going to be a choreographed tifo that includes not just the Curva Sud but also the entire rest of the stadium. Fans will find plastic on their seats that is to be raised high ahead of the game.
