AC Milan are probing numerous different tracks as they look to raise the quality of their squad in view of the 2022-23 season, with particular attention on the attack.
According to SportMediaset (via MilanNews), one of the argets Milan have on their list is Marco Asensio, who is looking for a club to relaunch himself and in this sense the Rossoneri could be a fit for him. There are excellent relations between Milan and Real Madrid after the Theo Hernandez and Brahim Diaz deals.
Asensio is aiming for a higher salary than the €5.5m net per season he currently gets from Real Madrid but RedBird Capital founder and main man Gerry Cardinale has told Maldini and Massara to be careful with expensive contracts.
A slightly longer contract of €5m per season could be a compromise, while the transfer fee would be €25m. The alternative is Charles De Ketelaere, who would cost at least €35m.
Meanwhile, Milan are nearing a deal for Francesco Acerbi. There is already an agreement with the player, and while one with Lazio is missing but there is talk of a €5m transfer fee. Then Matteo Gabbia could end up at Sampdoria on a paid loan with obligation to buy and a possible buy-back.
Acerbi???? Seriously now????? Lazio would pray for Milan submitting an offer…..
Asensio is going nowhere for less than €6-7m net per season, though if he qualifies for the growth decree tax he could potentially earn more in Italy than by staying in Spain.
Why we need to choose one between Assensio and CDK? It’s exactly two spots that we need to improve and there is a budget for both of them
Exactly imo we renew Roma then get Asensio or Ziyech and De Ketelaere and then decide who they want as a midfielder but it would be a shame to not invest in De Ketelaere

Wow.. both are terrible. Acerbi was good a few years ago buy past it now. Asensio will be a Castillejo sized flop but will not give as much heart as Samu, mark my words, guy will flop so hard. What a supreme waste of money

CDK isnt easy. Even if we get CDK we have to go though a bidding war with EPL Clubs, so there is no reason to wait for CDK.
Brugge is also in no hurry to sell CDK so early for so cheap when they know he is a player in demand. Tchouameni went for 100 mil. So of course Brugge is gonna hold out for more. If Milan really was willing to pay more than 35, I think we would have signed CDK already.
If AC Milan really buy acerbi from lazio , i will laugh so hard. Hope thats just rumour. Remember biglia? aC Milan buy 33 years player with just one year contract left 16m euro and give him salary 3,5m euro nett. Just renew romagnoli if you dont have money to buy bremer or arthur theatre. It is very embarassing buying acerbi just because low cost

In Mdfld: just buy Svanberg. He is less injury prone to Sanches or u go Enzo Fernandes
Attk: just buy Asensio and CDK, they r a no brainer deal. You can use the loan option and obligation to buy for one of them
