Romano: Milan add Krösche to sporting director wishlist after Rangnick’s withdrawal

There is a new name on the list of AC Milan’s sporting director candidates this summer after Ralf Rangnick’s removal from the process.

The past 24 hours have been mad for Milan. It seemed like they could have proper movement in the sporting director and manager hire process and whilst they did, it was not in a positive way. Indeed, it was the confirmation of Rangnick’s withdrawal.

Reports state that ‘Ibrahimovic won the battle’ and he opted against a move, with guarantees not given to him before his deadline. An own goal, perhaps, and the Rossoneri are back to square one in the hiring stage.

Milan considering Krosche move

It is worth stating that Rangnick was not the only candidate, though and Ramon Planes remains a name of interest. However, he is not the only option; Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Devin Ozek is another target.

Fabrizio Romano has added another option, too. On his X account, he stated that the Diavolo are looking at hiring Markus Krösche, who is the current Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director.

Overseeing a project, which had the second youngest squad in the Bundesliga this season, he is of a very similar mould to Rangnick. So, whilst they may not have gotten their primary target, they may not stray too far.

Considering he previously worked with Oliver Glasner with Frankfurt, too, it is a name of real interest.

    1. I will claim thats better. Rather no comments from toxic fans, than their all time crying, judging, insulting…

      1. No doubt it’s better for your bosses. It’s what they’ve been trying to achieve ever since they fired Maldini. Leaving tourists and online trolls as the only active fanbase.

      2. You call them toxic, I call them people with intelligence and working brain. As opposed to you and a few more Redbird cheerleaders.

  1. The guy just signed a new contract 10 days ago, don’t worry guy Ibra will bring his buddies to fill the management roles

  2. If its one thing Markus Krösche knows its how to get money for his players.

He is also the one who brought Glasner to Frankfurt, so the two of them have worked together before.

He makes more sense then Planes (or Zlatans buddy Kirovski).

  3. So more zoom meetings with more new candidates for a project that hasn’t even been defined yet… Maybe in July we’ll move to actual in person interviews, 2-3 rounds of those. And in August we’ll be down to maybe 2 solid candidates. If we’re lucky, by the end of August we’ll have a coach picked.

We won’t need a mercato, or more players, or a Sporting and Technical director. Naaaaa… We
    I’ll make it work.

    1. Anyone who comes will be better than allegri or conte. The problem is the stinky management we have🤡🤑
