AC Milan are close to agreeing on a new contract for Bosnian midfielder Rade Krunic who is keen to stay at the club, according to a report in the Italian media.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), Krunic is the player that Milan are the closest to sealing a contract extension for with many others also in the works.
The likes of Rafael Leao, Pierre Kalulu and Ismael Bennacer are also being talked to by the club about extending their contracts as soon as possible.
Krunic has become an important part of the rotation in Stefano Pioli’s midfield since he joined the club in 2019 from Empoli.
He started the game against Udinese last weekend because Sandro Tonali was recovering from an injury.
It is thought that the total agreement between the player and the club is getting closer and closer and he is likely to sign before the aforementioned players.
We Need Leao and Bennacer to renew not this joker
I agree that Leao and especially Bennacer are important renewals that hopefulky will be agreed asap, but still calling Krunic a joker just shows you haven’t been watching Milan lately. Are you still in the #Pioliout team as well? Krunic is a very useful versatile player and an excellent example of a team player. He won’t be just hanging around like Leao does if things don’t go his way. Krunic fight for Milan. I suggest you start doing the same.

Krunic was probably one of the most flexible and adaptable player of milan last season. He is an asset. If u cant accept his importance to our squad, i dont think ur a real fan. Im sure the real milan fans would agree with my opinion
But if no krunic anda saladmaker, there will be no the threesome formation with pioli
Just because Pioli is stuck on giving this guy minutes hence making him play in every role doesn’t mean he’s a versatile player. He is mediocre at best in some roles. And playing him means less minutes for guys with a lot of potential as Adli and Pobega. Just as it happened with Hauge at the time and probably Bakayoko would have settled better.

If Milan let benaceer and Leao go, I wonder who they will get? Another mediocre from Denmark or Belgium? Who they will wanna pay 3m when the price is 30m? We keep losing the core of our team for silly excuses, at the end of the day we are still not willing to spend the ting millions saved.,…..if we are not careful, we will go back being mediocre again, kessie shouldn’t have left for any reason, he was the base but our ego always gets in the way, we have lost kessie, now we do not want to pay Leao and benaceer what they are worth but we Gon work to renew Krunic……..okY, let’s be watching
