Sky: Milan aiming to close De Ketelaere deal by early next week after ‘positive day’

By Oliver Fisher -

There was another ‘positive’ day of talks between AC Milan and Club Brugge on Wednesday over Charles De Ketelaere, it is claimed.

Gianluca Di Marzio spoke on Sky’s Calciomercato L’Originale (via MilanNews) to give the last on De Ketelaere, and he began by stating it had been a ‘positive day on the De Ketelaere front for Milan’.

There have been contacts through the agents and intermediaries who are trying to close the last distances between the parties, and in the end it should close at around €30m plus bonuses, to reach just under €35m in total.

Confidence is increasing among the Rossoneri management that they will be able to close the operation by the ‘beginning of next week’, in order to get medical examinations done and make the player available for the upcoming friendly games. Now, we must wait and see if the optimism results in something more concrete, given the weeks of speculation.
