Samuele Ricci of Italy

TMW: Milan already plotting ‘significant offer’ for Italy midfield star – the details

AC Milan want to beat the competition to land Samuele Ricci from Torino and they are preparing an offer already, according to a report.

Niccolò Ceccarini provided an update on Milan’s plans in a piece for TMW, confirming that the management want to give Paulo Fonseca a couple more solutions as early as the January window, particularly in midfield.

Reda Belayhane and Morten Frendrup are names to ‘always to keep in mind’, in addition perhaps to a deputy to Theo Hernandez, but the strategy for June is to further increase the quality of the midfield.

The profile that is ‘liked more than any other’ is Ricci. It is a deal that seems impossible to do in the winter window but in the summer it is more realistic. Everything will depend on Torino’s requests, which are expected to be very high, also by virtue of the interest of Inter and many European clubs.

In short, Milan will try to do some groundwork before making a ‘significant offer’. In the meantime, Luka Jovic is a player that is attracted interest from the Granata as they look for another striker after Duvan Zapata’s injury, so they could make an attempt when the window opens.

  1. Parisi (Adli deal is pretty similar price and Gosens is their starter LB now);
    Ricci (contract until 2025, and his idols are Pirlo and Tonali… show Cairo the checkbook and he will come);
    Fagioli (Juve need cash and they have to pay for Kalulu as well, 20M additional investment is worth for his talents)

    can be done if there is ambition, but our management unfortunately will cheap out again and will be confused why they don’t quality players…

    1. That would be good indeed! We need a backup LB and midfielders, + italians.

      But that would be the logical thing to do and our management think differently. They have no clue whatsoever. And they dislike Italians to the bone.

      Can you believe financially we are the best club in Italy yet they do nothing good with it.

      1. these 3 in January (or you can also switch Frendrup for one midfielder), plus Tomiyasu (also under 2025) and a normal striker (since we are project Camarda, we need someone efficient over 25 of age even…)

        again no crazy money, but money is needed or we always be this half built team… Musah has to babysit Emerson, so you are ultimately playing 10v11… but Cardinale glazers will start BS-ing again…

  2. Tell me why we buy Royal for 15m and sell Kalulu for 23… make no sense to me.. if we just sell Kalulu and play Jimenez in this position I understood we make money for capital gain but he is slow and remand me times when there was Poli in midfield.. stressed every time when he has a ball..
    Ricchi is good to our midfield but why we don’t try Jimenez now?

  3. Don’t sign for Milan Ricci you will only be a bench player because you are Italian and we know Milan don’t play Italian players unless they are desperate

  4. These articles are so delirious. Milan won’t offer more than 20M€ (if even that) and Torino will NEVER sell him for that price. Not even on his last year of contract.
