AC Milan are pushing ahead with a deal for Renato Sanches but they do have an alternative target in mind, according to a report.
As reported today by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan are trying to sign Renato Sanches who is their number one target for the midfield department, but the management want to be prepared in case they fail to find an agreement with the player.
If they do not manage to do so they will turn to River Plate’s young star Enzo Fernandez, who has release clause of €18m which is the lowest amount Los Millionarios are willing to accept. They have already sent back a first offer from the Rossoneri that stood at €15m.
Fernandez is a versatile midfielder who can play either as a playmaker, a box-to-box type or even wide on the right if needed. He has 8 goals and 6 assists in 20 games for River this season across all competitions.
ah! Thank GOD!!!
Very good signing
If anyone cares, Total Football Analysis website did a pretty good article evaluating Fernández, worth reading if you wanna get an idea what type of player he is and how he’d likely slot into Milan’s midfield.
