One journalist has claimed that Cristiano Giuntoli will leave Napoli but wants to remain in Italy, with AC Milan interested in appointing him.
Journalist Walter De Maggio spoke on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli (via MilanNews) about Giuntoli’s future and confirmed that Milan have ‘jumped on’ the director after the farewell of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara.
Giuntoli had already expressed his intention to leave before Easter and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis – after flatly refusing at first – seems to have opened to the idea following a second meeting.
There is a Premier League club interested that ‘could build golden bridges’ for Giuntoli, but the director wants to stay in Italy even though he has no intention of continuing with Napoli.
Giuntoli has been highly praised for his work in the transfer market, especially last summer when Victor Osimhen, Kim Min-jae and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia were brought in and helped to end a long Scudetto drought.
This season It was oshimens third season in napoli and even mentioning him is ridiculous as he was bought for 75 mil, not a player cardinale would ever allow being brought in with his money saving approach.
I am surprised there is no investigation into that transfer.
The transfer was basically for 40 mil plus a bunch of no name Primavera players that was supposedly worth 35 mil and whose contracts were then terminated by Lille
ok so there were talents included. sounds like juventus ‘esque business.
lol he is almost double our entire transfer budget for 2 seasons
What a dream job! You get fired even if you achieve season’s goals because you don’t kiss Jerry’s feet and you don’t have money available to recruit impact players. And we will sell your best players because our incredibly opulent shareholders need to buy one more yacht. Please sign right here Mr Giuntoli, with your blood.
If Juventus had not been sanctioned, Milan would have finished 5th.
If juve didnt cheat they wouldnt have half of their lineup and titles
