CM: Milan plot concrete move for €30m+ Arsenal striker but face competition

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have got Folarin Balogun on their list of attacking targets ahead of the summer but they face strong competition, according to a report.

According to what is being reported by Calciomercato.com, the name of Balogun is high on the list of Milan’s attacking targets. He has been watched on several occasions by Rossoneri scouts in recent weeks and they have been impressed, given he has 18 goals in 30 games in Ligue 1.

The scouts believe that he has the right characteristics for Stefano Pioli’s tactical approach, but it will not be easy to sign him. Balogun will return to Arsenal at the end of the season and intends to speak with Mikel Arteta to understand what his plans are.

Everything suggests that a sale will occur considering that the Gunners already have Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nkietah in that role, but now RB Leipzig are ready to take advantage of the situation.

The Bundesliga club have already started talks with the agents of the 20-year-old. Arsenal are enthusiastic about Balogun’s growth and do not want to lose control of him permanently, so offers of more than €30m are needed to come to the negotiating tabel.

It is a message to potential suitors but Milan are not put off, and in fact they are increasingly convinced by the idea of taking concrete steps in the coming weeks.

  1. I still prefer rasmus or jonathan david instead balogun. But with their price tag 40m euro or more , well maybe balogun or loan eikite more affordable for AC Milan , still i hope AC Milan can buy starter striker that ready to make giroud benched
