GdS: Milan assessing potential opportunity to sign Chelsea forward for €40m

AC Milan will sign a striker this summer and they are sifting through the market to find the right opportunity, a report claims.

The name of the striker that will join up with Santiago Gimenez to complete the centre-forward department ahead of 2025-26? is one of the topics being discussed at Casa Milan and Milanello. Igli Tare and Massimiliano Allegri are at work, but top strikers certainly do not come cheap.

Who could it end up being? La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) confirm that the Rossoneri are monitoring Dusan Vlahovic’s situation and also that of Victor Boniface, but they are adding potentially interesting names to the list every day.

Nicolas Jackson is one example. The Senegal international is no longer a permanent fixture at Chelsea after the signing of Joao Pedro form Brighton. He would cost at least €40m plus bonuses meaning it is not an easy path, but one worth pursuing.

As a reminder, Milan were actually linked with Jackson in the 2023 summer transfer window, when he was at Villarreal. The Rossoneri were ready to pay the €35m release clause in his contract, Fabrizio Romano claimed.

However, one key aspect of the Diavolo’s approach was that they wanted to spread it over many years. At that point Chelsea stepped in, and paid €37.5m over two years to get it done instantly.

  1. He’s not a pure striker and Santi is better than him. Plus, he’s a hot-head, he gets the stupidest cards.

  2. Hell naw. Boniface is the best option. Not worried about his injury record because it was only last season he was out for an extended time. That can happen to any player.

    1. Rodrigo type of player is not what the coach and management request for. Need a proper number 9. With box 18 present and aerial duel winner.

And Jackson is not the one either.

  3. So they want 40mil for a striker that misses far more than he scores, but they only wanted to pay 15mil for Mike???? EL OH EL, CHELSEA!

  4. Have they not seen him play? He is not a finisher of any quality. This would be as big a mistake as Origi.

  5. lol 😂 Jovic is better than Jackson so why this stupid management don’t know the best for milan fans if we need a striker around 40m range Boniface should be our target not Chelsea worm 🪱

  6. That the point, the management leaves a good product to purchase an useless product not even needed in the squad. Who thy hell are they pursuing Jackson, they rather buy a non prolific player than buying jackson
