Tuttosport: Why Tare faces a tough test to please Allegri with a top striker

It is now no secret that AC Milan want a new striker, but sporting director Igli Tare faces a ‘tough test’ to please the head coach Massimiliano Allegri.

Who will join up with Santiago Gimenez to complete the centre-forward department ahead of 2025-26? This is one of the topics being discussed at Casa Milan and Milanello, where Tare and Allegri are at work, but top strikers certainly do not come cheap.

A difficult task

Today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanPress) reports on the matter, quoting the Albanian manager’s comments, who had identified a ‘Giroud-like’ profile as the ideal choice to complete the attack.

Mateo Retegui is a highly sought-after player, but Atalanta’s refusal to accept Al-Qadsiah’s €53m bid earlier this week – and their subsequent €60m demands – make the Italian pretty much an impossible target to sign.

The same is true for Moise Kean, whose release clause is valued at €52m. Among the players being monitored are Victor Boniface (€40-€45m), Nicolas Jackson (over €50m), Jean-Philippe Mateta (€35m), Rasmus Hojlund and Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Dusan Vlahovic remains in the background, and could become a potential prospect in August if the right deal comes together. The real question the newspaper is asking is: how much will Milan be able to invest in the No.9? The answer lies within the walls of Casa Milan.

  1. I thought you were talking about top strikers. That description does not apply to that list.🤦‍♂️

  2. Why are we not surprised? All in all, GL on finding world class striker, you have to work 24/7, you’re gonna need it.

    1. If I am not mistaken, so far we have earned about 100 million euros without a possible bonus! For those positions for which the club management plans to enhance (midfielder, two side and one central defender) would probably be enough. For the attacker they will have to find additional funds somewhere .

      1. Tare is already a failure. Hojlund? Nicolas Jackson? This man does not mean well for Milan. Give us Moises Kean… He’s of more advantages to us than the rest. Why Vlahovic? We already have Geminez who is a left footer and same style of play. Give us Kean that’s all.

  3. The striker I don’t want him to be in Milan jersey is Nicholas Jackson until am I stop supporting Milan and that will not happen.

We have strikers like boniface, kean and even we can consider mitrovic or mateta

    Forza Milan
