PM: Milan in line to collect €3m when Atalanta midfielder reaches milestone

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan should soon collect a nice amount from a deal involving Matteo Pessina that was done five years ago, according to a report.

As PianetaMilan report, Pessina moved to Atalanta during the summer of 2017 as part of the deal that saw right-back Andrea Conti come the other way. As part of that operation, Pessina’s card was valued at €3m but an agreement was made regarding protection of sorts for the Rossoneri in the future.

Milan in fact reserved a clause relating to the proceeds of a future resale – of which they are entitled to 50% – but that will be removed as soon as Pessina reaches 100 official appearances with La Dea.

So far, the Italy international has made 87 league appearances for Atalanta and it is therefore very likely at this stage that Milan will collect €3m once he hits the milestone at some point early in the new season.

  1. For a player Transfermarkt are valuing at ~€20m.

Helps the balance sheet, but you can’t help remember just how bad a deal the Conti one was! Hopefully the club’s moved on from that.

    1. Well, let’s just move on from Fassone mirabelli doing. Pessina are just our past . Blame Fassone mirabelli for swap him + money for injury ACL conti

  2. Conti was a good player at Atalanta, just as Hazard was at Chelsea, so was it a bad move when Real Madrid mase a move for Hazard…. no, but the transfer didn’t work out, he was always injures also, the same goes for Conti, i don’t think it was a bad transfer, had it been Hazard that came to Milan and was always injured would you all be saying, you remember just how bad a deal it was., i don’t so.
