CM: Milan to meet Atalanta goalkeeper soon to finalise contract agreement

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan are set to hold a new meeting with Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Sportiello to finalise the contract agreement for a free transfer, a report claims.

As has been reported by Calciomercato.com, the Italian goalkeeper is very happy with the interest shown by the Rossoneri and it seems like a deal that could be wrapped up very quickly.

He looks set to join the Rossoneri at the end of the season and there will be a meeting in the coming days where the two parties will agree on terms.

It is not yet clear whether this spells the end of Ciprian Tatarusanu’s time at the club given Sportiello would presumably come in as the backup goalkeeper to Mike Maignan.

With the deal not yet finalised and over half a season still to be played, it remains to be seen what the Milan goalkeeping hierarchy will be in the 2023/24 season with Sportiello there.
