CM: Milan and Atalanta keeping tabs on 25-year-old Villarreal full-back

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Atalanta are both interested in left-back Alfonso Pedraza as he continues to impress at Villarreal, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com writes that Atalanta head coach Gian Piero Gasperini has set his sights on the Spaniard and as is someone who knows about full-backs, given how he turned Andrea Conti, Leonardo Spinazzola, Robin Gosens and Timothy Castagne into top players in Serie A.

In recent months Nerazzurri scouts have followed the 25-year-old Pedraza with a view to the possible sale of Robin Gosens, who continues to be linked with a potential exit. The German remained in Bergamo after the summer window, but the Goddess remains attentive to the performance of the Spaniard especially if a bid arrives for Gosens.

However, Atalanta are not the only Italian club who are keen on Pedraza as the source adds that Milan also inquired about him in recent months, looking for a full-back to work alongside Theo Hernandez. In the end Fode Ballo-Toure arrived, but the Rossoneri’s interest persists.
