Barcelona are the team that are pushing hardest to sign Franck Kessie when his deal with AC Milan expires but the risk of him going to a rival remains, a report claims.
According to La Repubblica (via MilanNews), Barcelona have accelerated their pursuit of the Ivorian in the last few hours and they have begun concrete negotiations with Kessie and his entourage to try and find an agreement ahead of the 2022-23 season.
His contract with Milan will expire in June and there is nothing to suggest that talks over an extension have ever been productive. However, the economic opportunity to land the 25-year-old without paying a transfer fee means Juventus are even attentive to the situation.
From February, Kessie is expected to test the ground with his entourage to see what offers await him, because other top European clubs – especially those in the Premier League – are also keen on him.
