AC Milan’s management are looking around at potential options for the striker position given the doubts about existing options.
According to Calciomercato.it, Milan have more doubts than certainties when it comes to the striker role. Alvaro Morata has four goals in 14 games, Tammy Abraham has scored three times and Luka Jovic has had a season to forget so far.
Jovic’s deal is expiring, and Abraham is on a dry loan, so there is a good chance neither the Serb nor the Englishman will even be in the Rossoneri squad next season. If both were to leave the Milan will be back to square one, which is why the directors do not want to be caught unprepared.
According to Calciomercato.it, a few names are of interest. Santiago Gimenez of Feyenoord was talked about a lot in the summer and though he has had several physical problems this season, he has scored in his last two games including against Manchester City and remains a target.
Gimenez’s cost would be high, but his namesake Santiago Castro is another option. The 20-year-old Argentine has four league goals this season and a lot of room for growth, while he would be less expensive than the Mexican.
Benjamin Sesko is probably destined to remain a dream, then there is Jonathan David who other clubs are in pole position for, even if the Rossoneri could try and work their way back into the running given his deal is expiring.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin of Everton also has an expiring deal and he does not intend to decide his future any time soon with the Toffees in another relegation battle. For now, though, rumours about the Englishman seem to be coming more from the British press.
Calvert-Lewin 🙂 Probably the only guy who could join this team and topple Matri from his position as the worst striker we’ve ever had.
The reporting here is awful, why would Milan go for either, Morrata and Tammy are better options, they should at least recycle decent news this is scraping the barrel.
I know Moncada & Co are at times are to a degree visually impaired, but this is Mr Magoo blind territory
It will probably end like “jovic, can you stay another year”
Tammy still has time while, Castro would be a great signing…
Castro to me seems to be Laturo Martinez in the making
3″ targets”, 3 losers.
Pass
“If both were to leave the Milan will be back to square one, which is why the directors do not want to be caught unprepared.”
We’ve been caught unprepared for two seasons running now. This summer will be the third in a row that we’re looking for “the” striker. They will find another bargain that turns out to not be good enough or some kid that’s not ready to lead the line, and we’ll be caught unprepared in 2025-26.
indeed
Striker search AGAIN???????
No. It can’t be!!! This must be a joke! We have Tammy and Morata and Carmada – aren’t we set for life????? 🤣🤣🤣🤡🤡🤡
I mean who would have guessed we would have to go shopping for another striker after the summer Mercato we had!?!?! Hahahahahahaha!!!
Embarassing
We need a coach who is able to make a team with the material there is because Mr Fonseca is not convincing you look at him and he do not make you work and work harder game after game he is not the proper coach for Milan and also ibra should also leave and get maldini
