Tuttosport: Milan evaluating Belotti opportunity but Atalanta eye potential homecoming

By Oliver Fisher -

Andrea Belotti appears to be attracting some admirers in Serie A and AC Milan will face a battle to sign him, according to a report.

Belotti’s contract with Torino expires at the end of the season with no signs forthcoming that he is willing to extend it, meaning he is a big opportunity for clubs looking to bolster their attack with a guaranteed goal scorer, having reached double figures in league goals in each of the last six seasons.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanLive), Milan are intrigued by the idea of signing the 28-year-old, but Atalanta is also very keen on signing the Italy international especially if they chose to sell Duvan Zapata.

The striker is a native of the province of Bergamo and started his career playing for nearby Albinoleffe, so they believe they might be able to rival the Rossoneri for ‘Il Gallo’ who is a boyhood Milan fan. The striker’s desire is to return to high levels and earn a possible call-up to the World Cup in Qatar 2022, depending on how the play-offs go.
