According to Tuttosport (via MilanLive), Milan are intrigued by the idea of signing the 28-year-old, but Atalanta is also very keen on signing the Italy international especially if they chose to sell Duvan Zapata.
The striker is a native of the province of Bergamo and started his career playing for nearby Albinoleffe, so they believe they might be able to rival the Rossoneri for ‘Il Gallo’ who is a boyhood Milan fan. The striker’s desire is to return to high levels and earn a possible call-up to the World Cup in Qatar 2022, depending on how the play-offs go.
