AC Milan are not just close to announcing the extension of Theo Hernandez’s contract because Ismael Bennacer is also reportedly ready to pen fresh terms.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) focuses on the renewal strategy that the Rossoneri management are taking, which is certainly a more proactive one than in recent seasons when Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu left the club on free transfers, while Franck Kessie and Alessio Romagnoli are tipped to do the same with just a few months left on their respective contracts.
The paper reports that Milan consider Ismael Bennacer among the certainties of their midfield department heading into the 2022-23 season and beyond, so much so that the Algerian is close to renewing his contract with the Rossoneri.
The former Empoli man is close to an extension from 2024 to 2026 with a salary raised from €1.5m net per season to €3.2m, which is a raise of €1.7m that his performances have warranted.
