AC Milan are going full steam ahead to try and sign Lille defender Sven Botman in the January window, according to a report.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the injury to Simon Kjaer – who will be out for the whole season – has forced Milan to change their strategies and therefore they will sign a new defender next month with Botman top of their wish list.
The Dutchman has been on Milan’s radar since last summer and the hope of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara is that they will also be able to take advantage of their excellent relations with Lille, given the Leao, Djalo and Maignan deals.
The demand from the French club is quite high – around €30m – which means that it will not be an easy pursuit for the Rossoneri. Milan would like to repeat the same operation that brought Fikayo Tomori to the club a year ago: a paid loan with options to buy.
However, we now need to see whether they will accept such a formula given there are other clubs who want Botman, namely clubs from England with more money.

Please Maldini, bolster the attack, get a playermaker, one who can also play RW when possible… We also need a Striker. The Milan attack is toothless. The defense is doing better than the attack at the moment. We don’t need to go out on a limb because of a position that can be managed. #10 position and RW are suffering, is the management blind???
we got rebic and leao who are returning and rebic is our most useful player who can play anywhere in attack and if we get any more playmakers players like rade krunic and castillejo will leave for 4-5 mil because of their value and no assists and goals so the management is not blind if you compare to Inter who r in 350 mil debt that needs to be cleared by 2023 and rw we got depth.only real problem is cm which kamara and sanchez are targeted so is svanberg so shut up.deluded guy .

AM is really needed, Diaz can do it alone and we can not expect krunic to do better, since Diaz dip in form, our attack have suffered and RW is also needed because if we want messias to deputise Diaz then we need a good RW….so shu your trap
