Sampdoria are pursuing a deadline day deal for Samu Castillejo having been rebuffed in their attempts to sign Gregoire Defrel, a report claims.
Once again Castillejo has not yet found the desired accommodation, so there is a growing probability he is stuck at Milan until the end of the season given that he is not a part of the club’s plans nor those of head coach Stefano Pioli.
According to Calciomercato.com, there could yet be a surprise late on in the window as Sampdoria are back on the trail of Samu Castillejo. Given the difficulties they have encountered in finding an agreement with Sassuolo for Gregoire Defrel, Samp have once again asked about signing the Spanish winger.
Castillejo’s future is increasingly uncertain, as the winger seemed close to returning to Spain, but the deal with Valencia fell through as they are instead set to sign Bryan Gil on loan from Spurs until the end of the season.
