GdS: Genoa make contact with Milan winger – offers from Spain have also arrived

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could be able to offload Samu Castillejo during the January transfer window as old friend Andriy Shevchenko wants him at Genoa, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes that Castillejo is among the players who have ended up in Genoa’s sights. He has a contract with Milan until 2023 but knows that he is no longer a part of the project and therefore can depart when the window reopens.

However, Castillejo has also received some proposals from Spain but now he is also carefully evaluating the possibility of staying in Serie A with the Rossoblu, with a decision to be made about where to continue his career.

Castillejo has made some appearances off the bench for Milan this season but overall is now on the fringes of Pioli’s plans, with other attacking reinforcements preferred on both wings.
