TMW: Sampdoria in talks with Milan over forward as Giampaolo eyes triple swoop

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in talks with Sampdoria over the potential exit of winger Samu Castillejo, according to a report.

Fans have noticed that Castillejo was not included in the matchday squad to face Juventus last night, and it was not because of injury. MilanNews confirmed that the Spaniard would not be on the bench for Milan tonight and he was excluded because of technical choice and not because of injury or other problem.

It certainly fuels the rumours that an exit is imminent for the former Villarreal man given that he is now on the fringes of Stefano Pioli’s plans and he continues to be linked with a move away from Milan.

According to TMW, attacking midfielder Abdelhamid Sabiri is in the sights of Sampdoria as he should be leaving Ascoli, with Marco Giampaolo looking for a new No.10 to deploy his preferred 4-3-1-2 system.

They are also waiting for Inter’s response on Stefano Sensi while contacts with Milan continue for Castillejo, who only has another year and a half left on his contract and knows Giampaolo well.
