Reports: Milan and Valencia negotiating loan with option to buy deal for winger

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Valencia are working on a deal for Samu Castillejo but it will reportedly not be a permanent exit, at least not straight away.

According to what is being reported by Anto Vitiello of MilanNews, Valencia and Milan are currently locked in negotiations over Castillejo in what would be a loan move for the 27-year-old, with some distances still to be reduced before the operation can formally go through.

Meanwhile, Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com also reports that the Rossoneri and the LaLiga side will work in the next hours to reduce the distances on Castillejo. It is an operation that is proceeding with the formula of a loan with option to buy.

Castillejo joined the Rossoneri in the summer of 2018 from Villarreal – a rival of Valencia – racking up 113 official appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals and also registering 14 assists, but he has seen his playing time dramatically decrease with just 5 appearances this season.
