Milan and Barcelona miss out as Chelsea announce agreement with Aston Villa over midfielder

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s transfer wish list has just become one name shorter as Chelsea are set to sign Carney Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa, it has been confirmed.

Chelsea announced on Twitter that they and Aston Villa and have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of Chukwuemeka. The 18-year-old has been given permission to travel to London to discuss both personal terms and undergo a medical.

The England U19 international has been frequently linked with a move to Milan over the past couple of weeks and he was tipped to be a potential low-cost coup given his talent plus the fact his contract is expiring in less than 12 months.

The Athletic reported on July 22 Chukwuemeka is being chased by both Milan and Barca, while Villa have tried and failed to extend the contract of the 18-year-old attacking midfielder since October. Now, his future seems destined to be in England and at Stamford Brige.

  1. Looks like a great talent but he was never coming to Milan.
The salaries that Barca, B.Dortmund or any other EPL club could have offered him was way better than Milans.
Now up the salary offer and get us Renato Sanches

      1. In real world Blbeing a footballer is a job.
Money might not be everything but are huge part of that business. Huge majority of players go where the bigger money are. Most of the best players in the world don’t go to EPL because they love the weather in England.
Yes Chelsea paid 20 mil to get him but even if he was a free agent Milan wasn’t getting him. His salary at Chelsea will probably be around what our highest paid player Theo makes.

        1. Some people actually prefer getting playing time to develop. Not all but some. Job or not, some people want to enjoy it more than than the day of the month when the check comes in. Believe it or not. That’s not something they teach you in FM or other video games.

          1. I don’t know if you realize but you actually are saying the same thing i said, but you want to just argue for the sake of being a contrarian.
If you have to say SOME, twice, to make a point that not all players go for the money, how is that different from me saying that a huge majority of them will go for the money?

    1. It has nothing to do with his salary, they paid more than €20 million for a player who isn’t even established and has a year left on his contract.

    2. I doubt you saw Sanches play last season so stop pretending he’s a solution of any kind. His agent has a big mouth and he’s flopped under pressure and can’t stay fit. He’ll be more of a bust than Bakayoko.

      1. I have watched Sanches for several years . The only knock on him is that he is often injured. But if he is healthy, he will dominate serie A . There isn’t a midfielder with his combination of physical and technical ability in Italy

      2. Sanches flopped under pressure??? LOL. Are you crazy? I get if you don’t like him as a player but no need to make up bull$shit stories pal. Come on mate you can do better than that.

  2. This will make us push for Renato even more since our plan b is gone. And if we fail to get Renato I see a window opening up for Ziyech
