Footmercato: Milan close to €18m agreement for Polish defender who rejected West Ham

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are expected to complete the signing of centre-back Jakub Kiwior from Spezia in the coming months, according to a report.

Earlier today, a report from Goal.pl reported that information has arrived from ‘one of the stadium boxes’ – as confirmed by another source – that Kiwior is very close to transferring to Milan from Spezia. They stated that someone close to the Poland international even added that ‘everything is done’.

According to the latest from FootMercato, the 22-year-old Pole – who declined West Ham during the summer mercato – is closing in on joining Milan. Discussions between Spezia and the Rossoneri management have resulted in an almost total agreement for a sum estimated to be €18m including bonuses.

Milan are working in parallel to reach an agreement with the player’s entourage over personal terms, but discussions are already at an advanced stage with them too, so the various parties involved are optimistic to reach an agreement quickly.

    1. “[A] report from Goal.pl reported that information has arrived from ‘one of the stadium boxes’ – as confirmed by another source”, so basically this Sempremilan report is fourth hand.
