Reports: Milan aiming to close deal for Chilean winger before window shuts

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could try and get a deal for Dario Osorio across the line before the end of the January transfer window, according to a report.

As Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) reports, at the end of the 5-2 defeat against Sassuolo there was a meeting between Paolo Maldini, Ricky Massara and the new CEO Giorgio Furlani to try and figure out the reasons for the current bad run of form and of course to seek a solution.

It may be that a solution could come from the market, in particular the 19-year-old Club Universided de Chile winger Dario Osorio who has emerged as a target in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) report that no significant interventions are expected between now and the end of the window even despite the heavy defeat yesterday, but the management will try to close the deal for Osorio, which at present seems to be a difficult task.

  1. Simply laughable. So the solution could come from an inexperienced 19 years old lad, who has never played at such a high level yet? Anyone who buys into this?

  2. Like Pioli will ever let him play. He will never be ready for Pioli. Don’t know the kid, cos Pioli won’t let him play Don’t waste money on him. Money is a rare commodity for Milan these days, more so this will limit our summer budget to peanuts.

  3. We’d take anyone at this point, especially on the right side, but the kid reminds of Di Maria in his YouTube highlights.
Hopefully he turns out to be a good player.

    1. “We’d take anyone at this point, especially on the right side”

Yeah. Getting a better RW will magically fix everything. 🙂

    1. Even if you’re a fan of Zaniolo or not (which I am) think about what it means…we can’t spend 20m on a talented young Italian player with league and European experience…that mould of player isn’t within our reach…

  4. We need good GK post. Not winger please.. not youth project please.. we can see for example: lazetic, chaka traore. no one from these guy play for first team, at least 1 game 90 minutes…

  5. It’s a joke, I’m sure the lad has ability but he isn’t going to solve anything. More ‘potential’ to warm the bench with Adli and CDK…

Cardinals may not want to spend 20m on Zaniolo…wonder if he knows how much we lose by not making the CL…

Make your bed and sleep in it Moron

      1. Valid point…..

Just don’t get how someone so successful in business can’t see the benefit of the advice of a man like Maldini.

All the money we waste we could have signed Berardi..oh wait loads of Milan fans think he sucks…

        Glass houses…stones and all that

        1. Yeah. People here said Berardi was “below average” and “too old”. Well… Still miles ahead of any Milan player apparently.
