AC Milan still fully believe in Olivier Giroud and talks are planned regarding the extension of his contract, according to a report.
Giroud scored some decisive goals last season such as his brace to manufacture a comeback in the derby win over Inter, his winner against Napoli at the Stadio Maradona and his brace on the final day of the season to seal the Scudetto.
He has picked up where he left too, scoring a goal in the friendly against Marseille last night confirming that he is already in top form and good shape. The Frenchman has become the leader of Stefano Pioli’s side, and there is an idea about the future.
Calciomercato.com report that the bond between Giroud and Milan is strong and sincere, of mutual esteem, and there are plans to extend it too. Ricky Massara and Paolo Maldini have a desire to extend the current agreement expiring in July 2023 by one season.
The first contacts with the entourage of the former Chelsea striker are already planned, so in a few weeks the negotiations will intensify. Giroud only wants Milan in his future and will soon be satisfied.
Now thats some good news for us. Giroud still has plenty to offer in the field and also is a guy with fantastic attitude.
When he signed for us it was revealed it was a 2 year contract with an option for another year.

The option is propably related to if the player reaches a certain amount of matches this year then it gets automatically renewed but i wouldnt mind keeping him as a backup if he stays fit and can keep up his performances this season.
