Reports this morning suggest that both situations involving Dusan Vlahovic and Rasmus Hojlund are continuing to tick. Though a move for the latter is seen as more plausible currently.

It is not impossible that both join, though. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri like both players, and a ‘crazy idea’ has been born inside the walls of Casa Milan; what if they both arrived in the next few weeks?
Right now, it is a hypothesis, spoken only in whispers. However, it cannot be ruled out, and if it were possible, it would be seriously considered.
So, how would it work? Well, Vlahovic would arrive on a permanent deal, whilst Hojlund joined on a loan deal – which Manchester United are open to – with an option to buy. The caveat to this, then, is that Santiago Gimenez would then be unnecessary.
In this case, the Mexican would leave on loan, perhaps for a year, whilst Hojlund’s test plays out. Then he could return. Alternatively, he could be sold this summer, but this would clash with the preferred idea of a ‘second chance’ this season.

I don’t understand what Milan wants. Both Vlahovic and Hojlund are tall but they are not good finishers and target man besides their size. They both are best when running at defences at counter attacking football. However Gimenez can do this too, also despite being smaller Gimenez is better as a target man/finisher than this two. The only thing they would be a bit better is maybe holding the ball. However for smaller teams with low defence like most teams in Italy you mainly need a target man striker like Giroud.
I agree in the sense that Milan need to get a different profile from that of Gimenez to give more options to the attack. I don’t get the links with Hojlund. Seems like another Tammy move.
I will feel like this milan’s ‘new striker quest’ is all made up by the media. There weren’t even bids submitted or actual interest shown by players or the club and milan just bought a 35m striker in january there is no point in another starting striker.

As already pointed out this is not gonna happen but I wouldn’t mind one of them arriving and in such setup Gimenez still should be able coexist so this would also be my preferred solution.

Højlund is not a target player. He is strong physically, but not tall.. But he is supposed to be fast even if I found him faster when he was in Atalanta….

How did Barca get it cheaper when Rashford earns 14 mil pr. season in salary ? in the end if they want to keep him they will most likely also have to fork up a sizeable fee.

Vlahovic plays excellently as a target man.
Gimenez is by no means a target man, he is a poacher.
That said, I don’t think there’s any truth that we’re already trying to send Gimenez out.
But I do hope we get them both (if feasible) especially if we consider playing with a two striker formation at some point in the season. That would be having very formidable striker options.
Vlahovic as a target man and complete forward.
Højlund as a complete forward and poacher.
Gimenez as a poacher, mobile striker and advanced forward.
Each pairing seems interesting and complementary.
Tim Kleindienst is easily 5X better than both Vlahović and Højlund — he really reminds me of Giroud.
If it was Berlusconi, Milan would have snapped up all 3 to form a fearsome strike force.
Gimenez will do better this year after settling down. Add another complimentary partner in crime, not 2 others who have yet to settle down in Milan
