GdS: Barcelona loanee and playmaker not expected to be at Milan in 2023-24

By Oliver Fisher -

Yacine Adli and Sergino Dest have been two mysterious characters for AC Milan this season, but the management reportedly already know what their plans are for each.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) this morning, Sergiño Dest’s adventure at Milan seems to have already come to an end and the American full-back is expected to return to Barcelona once his loan expires.

Dest arrived on deadline day of the last summer window as cover after Alessandro Florenzi’s injury via the formula of a loan with €20m option to buy, but he has not convinced Stefano Pioli to the extent that he has barely been involved since the World Cup.

Then there is Yacine Adli, who has also barely been used recently and has only one league start to his name. The management are now strongly considering loaning him out in 2023-24 but would like to wait until the best solution is found for both the player and the club.

    1. Why would he be a left wingback when his natural positions is right wingback and we have Theo on the left? What you wrote makes 0 sense…

      1. Yeah it was a bizarre suggestion. Left wing back for a player who doesn’t play on the left and when a player is not needed on the left in the first place… Not exactly a great idea.
