Milan are hopeful that they will be able to negotiate discounts on three deals where they have an option to buy the player at the end of a loan, a report claims.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri have three players on loan right now that they would like to sign for a price lower than what’s initially agreed with the parent clubs.
The three players in question are Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid, Aster Vranckx from Wolfsburg, and Sergino Dest from Barcelona.
The fee agreed with Real Madrid for Diaz is €22 million which is much higher than Milan would like to pay considering Diaz is not a guaranteed starter, although is important to the squad.
Similarly, Dest would cost €20 million which is much more than the level he has shown since arriving at Milan.
Vranckx has been eased into action by Stefano Pioli and it will take €12 million for Milan to keep him next season.
If Dest repeats with us performances during the Cup, then he will become the priority among these three.

Once he’s closerly marked he panics and his tactical awareness is suspect at best, thus his ceiling is no better than any fullback we have. We definitely have 4-6 players who are better fullbacks. Including some centerbacks. The kid in the friendly today can already do what Dest can and more. Any cash for Dest should be added in Bennacer’s and Leao’s contracts.
Look up the phrase “flatter to deceive” and you’ll see Dest along w Hakan 😉
The only reason to purchase Dest is if an even more naïve team wants him and we are able to make a quick profit. Otherwise there are 100s of better fullbacks and for basically 40 mil gross including salary this would be a major major major error. Even for half that amount he should go back to Farca.
His salary alone is laughable and we wont pay Isma the 4- 4.5 he wants?
As inconsistent as Diaz is, for basically the same money + Madrid’s buyback, his deal actually makes sense. Not saying we should sign him either but Dest is actually a scrub masquerading as a footballer. If hes worth 20 the Saelemaekers is worth 75 and Erling Haaland 1 billion.
If Milan can get a discount for Brahim , something in the 10-15 mil range, they should absolutely sign him. He is more of a 2nd striker for me than a n10 or a winger, but for that price, he is worth it.
If Vranckx plays and shows up in the 2nd part of the season also should be redeemed.
Dest should go back to Barcelona at the end of the season. Milan can find better back up or 3rd choice RB for less money. He is awful defensively

Vranck I don’t know much about and haven’t seen him play much. I’d have to trust the opinion of the coaching team here.
Dest has sone ok at best for us, albeit better at the WC. If we needed a right back, then fair enough, but we already have Florenzi, Calabria and Saalamakers who can play there and we could use the money better elsewhere. Ironically I think Saalamakers and Dest should swap positions.
Diaz, again expensive, and we already have CDK and Maldini for that position, and Adli, so I don’t think its value for money.
