CorSera: Milan’s earnings from the UCL in 2022-23 could be nine figures

AC Milan’s run in the Champions League has not just brought about a sense of sporting pride but it will also have a profound economic impact, a report claims.

Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) report that there is great excitement at Milan after eliminating Tottenham and having reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League after 11 long years.

This milestone is important not only at a sporting level, but also financially since it means around €100m will have come into the club’s accounts from the competition this season alone.

In addition to the over €70m in UEFA prize money already accrued, ticket sales and sponsorship income must be added to make the total close to nine figures, and this money will be essential for renewals and for the summer transfer market as it allows greater freedom to invest and to try keep star players like Rafael Leao.
