Tuttosport: Milan and Emirates discussing more lucrative sponsorship renewal

AC Milan are discussing a renewal of the sponsorship deal with main shirt sponsor Emirates as the current deal runs out in 2023, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Pianeta Milan), the current sponsorship deal was signed in 2023 and it will expire on June 30, 2023. Milan currently receives a fixed payment of €14.2 million per season from Emirates.

The club are more than willing to renew with Emirates but they would like to raise the fixed amount that they get paid by a considerable amount, which is the primary part of the negotiations that are now ongoing.

Emirates views Milan as a key commercial partner and there seems to be a widespread expectation that a renewal will be agreed upon in the near future.

Given RedBird are now in charge and Gerry Cardinale wants to grow the club in every sense of the word, a new sponsor for the shirt cannot be ruled out.
