Lorenzo Colombo of Lecce

Tuttosport: Milan encouraged by Colombo’s development – the plan for the summer

AC Milan are watching the development of Lorenzo Colombo closely and they already have a plan for his future, according to a report.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes how Colombo’s loan spell at Lecce is proving to be a profitable one as he has now become a starter for them. He has three goals and an assist in the last four games, and four total goals in the league this season, nearly all being decisive too.

The Apulian side have the option of buying him at the end of his loan for €2.5m, but Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara ensured that a buy-back clause was put in there for €3m.

If his performances continue on such an upward trajectory, the Rossoneri management will give Colombo a chance to impress in the first team starting from next summer, or they could of course use the opportunity to raise more money from a sale for a pure capital gain.

  1. Clearly he has to rejoin milan. He’s our best homegrown prospect for years.
Given our problems in attack a balanced solution for next year shud be to sign a proven striker and have Giroud and colombo to rotate.
Shud be plenty of opportunity for him.

Ibra will retire, hopefully somehow we can offload origi and Lazetic can go on loan.
    Colombo is the future!!

  2. Origi isnt going anywhere. Who would want a guy that has barely played? I’d say Lazetic goes on loan, Ibra retires and we end up with
    Giroud as starter
Origi as backup (that’s what Management would say)
Colombo as 3rd choice. But we all know he’ll be 2nd because Origi will be injured
