In recent years, AC Milan have spent quite poorly on attacking talent, but there have been some anomalies. Now, the Rossoneri are looking to reverse the trend.
With the January mercato well underway and an attacking investment looking quite likely, Milan have to get it right. There has been a repeated worry that the club is focusing on the wrong metrics, putting profit above performance, and this can be reversed.
Clubs, of course, can achieve with a well-budgeted squad, that much is a given. However, it is difficult to do, as the Rossoneri have found.
As Milan News recalls, it is the ‘eternal problem’ for the Diavolo, and there have been years of discourse, especially concerning strikers. Andre Silva, Nikola Kalinic, Krzysztof Piatek and Gonzalo Higuain arrived for a combined total of more than €100 million. Perhaps, you can also add €36m Charles De Ketelaere to the equation. Each shared the same fate, underwhelming returns.
The flip side of this is the deals that happened for much less. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mario Mandzukic, Olivier Giroud, Divock Origi, Luka Jovic, just to name a few. The fate, unfortunately, still follows the trend for the most part.
Therefore, in this window, the Rossoneri must start to overcome their ‘eternal’ issue and spend smartly on a goalscorer who returns. It will not be easy, it never is in January, but there are profiles there who could alter the normality.
All the people in the photo for this article are incompetent bozos who have no clue how to run and build a successful winning team.
Kyle Walker and Rashford signing makes absolutely no sense. If Milan was trying for Jonathan David and Ricci it would have been obvious that they know what to do to make the team better.
David and Ricci would actually make sense and improve the team tho, and we never do that
Spending well… and yet we’re currently linked to 2 England outcasts in God awful form, on ludicrous wages, and one of them is almost 35
Their primary focus appears to be player kit sales potential.
That’s where a proper sporting director comes in. But we don’t believe in one. So we’re bound to keep repeating the same mistakes.
It’s not a mistake if it’s intentional
And that’s on point.
They will finish below 4th position
Next season they must sell, because they will become more poorly. So chances to bring any decent central forward are zero o. Nada Zero.
Ac Milan mostly looking for marketable player because of British markets that way there are baying them
Photo in thia article made me vomit …… a bunch of incompetent idiots who have money but no brains ….. no vision …. no sense …
Oh grow up.
Furlani is such a little rat weasel
As much as I’m excited about Sergio, mercato is what these clowns made me want to pass. Players we’re linked to are rubbish or either past their best (Walker, Rashford, Mosquera) and do not add anything to our team on the longterm other than being a cheap, shorterm patch and number.
Moreover, Sergio is also experimenting and searching for the best combination of both players at disposal and system of play. He just said 433 with these players doesn’t give enough width. So until he decides on what he wants and needs it’s just wasting money bringing in anyone.
Solo quattro parole: incompetente, saccente, avido e ignorante. Scegliete voi a chi collegare ogni aggettivo. Spero se ne vadano presto dal nostro amato Milan.
We had a sporting director. That isn’t the issue. The issue is Moncada. He identifies targets. Furlani just deals with the contracts.
