Daily Mail: Milan expected to complete signing of 26-year-old Liverpool forward

By Oliver Fisher -

Confirmations have arrived from sources in England that Divock Origi is very close to becoming a new AC Milan player ahead of 2022-23.

According to what is being reported by the Daily Mail (via MilanNews), Milan are close to an agreement with Origi over personal terms. The 26-year-old’s contract is about to expire and he has been searching for the right opportunity to take the next step in his career.

The Rossoneri currently remain firmly in pole position to acquire him on a free transfer, even though Liverpool have an option to extend his contract if he reaches a certain number of appearances, but that is highly unlikely as he has only made five Premier League outings this season with no starts.

Origi would come and provide experience on the big stages like the Champions League and international tournaments but would also give a youthful injection to a department including the 35-year-old Olivier Giroud and potentially the 40-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic, given he is only 26.

  1. This is a very good news.
He’s in his prime and without any record of injuries. I’m very optimistic that he’ll do well in Milan.
