CM: Milan eyeing Brazilian starlet with Italian citizenship to replace Theo

Theo Hernandez’s departure is becoming more and more likely as the days pass, and AC Milan are searching for possibilities to replace him.

It is nothing new for cycles to come to an end in football, and Theo is the latest in a long line of players to leave Milan. After all, it has happened before and it will happen again. However, there will be an element of sadness to the Frenchman’s departure when it does happen.

As things stand, there is a chance that he could remain at the club next season and leave as a free agent in 2026, but this is a far from ideal situation. Alternatively, there is a slim, if near impossible, chance that he could remain.

Regardless of whether this happens though, the Rossoneri will sign a new left back in the summer, as Calciomercato.com reports. So far, Maxim De Cuyper and Agumela Kabar are the leading choices, but the club have also begun to consider Lucas Piton Crivellaro, who plays for Vasco Da Gama.

The 24-year-old is an ‘elegant’ left-back, who can progress well with his impressive speed and can also create chances well. Furthermore, he is available for just €9 million. Despite being born in Brazil, the defender holds Italian citizenship through his grandparents and has previously been spoken to by Roberto Mancini about the National Team.

  1. Dunno much about this guy but not sure you can use the term “starlet” for someone 24 yrs old.

To replace Theo, I’d like Destiny Udogie from fellow strugglers Tottenham but maybe that’s a pipedream

    1. Udogie would be ideal but unfortunately he’s Italian and would cost more than a couple of million so that rules him out with these scum yanks in charge.

        1. Where did you get that number? $250M? Pretty much all players besides reinders and fofana were brought on loan with option to buy

          1. 2024-2025
            Gimenez. €32m
            Fofana. €20m
            Pavlovic. Gimenez. €18m
            Emerson. €18m
            Morata. €13m
            Bondo. €10m
            Jimenez. €5m
            €116 million

            2023-2024
            Musah. €21.2m
            Chuckwueze. €21.1m
            Pulisic. €20.8m
            Reijnders. €20.5m
            RLC. €18.9
            Okofor. €15.5m
            Terraciano. €4.5m
            Pellegrino. €3.88m
            €126.38m

            Loan fees – Felix €5.5, Abraham €1.5, Sottil €1m = €8 million

            €116 & €126.38 + €8 = €250.38 million

          2. @uberhulk
Good, but you forgot to add that in that period, we sold CDK and Tonali for almost a 100 million.

Instead of exaggerating expenditure, it’s always ideal to state things in perspective.

    2. Yes we can. Pato , Kaka, Mbappe , Messi, have all been starlet before the age 24yrs.

He is not a known player and being 24yrs doesn’t mean he is not or cant be called a starlet.

what do you expect to call him, prospect ?

Bartesaghi that is under 22yrs and was suppose to be replace Theo have not shown anything close to being a backup

    3. I’m Brazilian he’s not a good player he’s not a Star Brazilian winger backs are not good. The best are Couto on the right and Arana on the left. Piton is not a good choice.

  2. I don’t think people realize that Theo’s future at Milan has nothing to do with his performances or sporting results. It has everything to do with his contribution to brand value and what Redbird plans on doing in the summer.

    1. You should have stopped at “I don’t think”, that would have been more accurate. We’ve had a week in which journalists, pundits, including former greats, have criticised Theo for his terrible form over the past 18 months and yet you’ve come to some bs conclusion to push your lazy, ignorant, false narrative.

  3. Ya that makes sense, replace arguably one of the best wing backs in the world with some no name just because he got a red card.

    1. Rubbish. It’s because of a significant decline in standards since the scudetto winning season. He has directly been responsible for several goals.

    1. He won’t even come back to Milan, cuz of the poor relationahip he had with the Milan management. Milan had him and sold him for peanut , they never believed in him . He should have been a backup to Theo Hernandez and the LB issue would have been solved before now

      1. He’ll also be too expensive because the big EPL clubs want him. This is on the coaches, the youngsters don’t get enough chances.

      2. It was the great Maldini and co. who bought Ballo Toure to be Theo’s deputy instead of allowing Kerkez some game time.
We have to live with it, just the way it hurts me watch Bellanova play for another club.

        1. I didn’t forget to add anything, all clubs buy and sell players. Anyone who complains about the amount of money RedBird have spent is flat out dishonest. How much has been spent and how well it has been spent are two different things.

          NUFC
          2023-2024 & 2024-2025
          €216m in, €133m out.
          Net Spend: -€83 million

          Milan
          2023-2024 & 2024-2025
          €249m in, €117m out.
          Net Spend: -€132 million

          Liverpool
          2023-2024 & 2024-2025
          €232m in, €89m out.
          Net Spend: -€143 million

Newcastle have the wealthiest owners in the world, but their spending is, of course, limited by the amount of money they generate. Liverpool are wealthier and more successful than Milan in recent seasons and still they spend comparatively.

          1. Now that’s perspective.
Milan have spent €143 million in the period as against the €250 million you reported earlier.
That was what you forgot, thanks.

Whether the money was well spent or not in comparison with Liverpool FC or Newcastle FC is absolutely inconsequential in this conversation, that’s a whole different conversation entirely.

I’m only interested in the €250 million spent on transfers according to you.

  4. But he plays in Brazilian league he doesn’t have any experience in EU competitions. It’s better try to get Hato from Ajax as a 2nd LB and Maatsen Ait Nouri Kerkez Hartman Antonee Robinson Miguel Gutierrez Destiny Udogie as a 1st LB you need a proper replacement if you want to sell your top player in any position not a mediocre with maybe possibility to become able to be proper replacement
