CM: Milan plan four sales to boost funds – decision made on Leao and Theo

A lot of the talk is about who AC Milan will sign in the summer to strengthen the squad, but some sales are also planned to raise funds.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan’s sub-par 2024-25 season will lead to some players leaving. Rafael Leao and Theo Hernandez are the most talked about players but, barring huge offers, both are destined to remain at the club.

The focus will shift to four others who have already been made aware that they have been put on the market. Samuel Chukwueze is one of them, a player who was supposed to leave Milan on the last day of the market to go to Fulham, but there was no agreement on the formula.

The idea is to resume talks with the Cottagers in view of the summer. The Nigerian winger has never given the impression of being able to make a difference for the Rossoneri, meaning his experience in Italy has not gone to plan.

He arrived in the summer of 2023 from Villarreal for €20m euros plus €7m in bonuses, today he is worth €12-15m. Chukwueze will definitely leave in the summer, and in Spain both Real Sociedad and Real Betis are keen.

Meanwhile, there is only one adjective to describe Rubun Loftus-Cheek’s second season at Milan: unlucky. The English midfielder has spent more time in the treatment room than on the pitch, so the club would like to sell him at the end of the season. However, it won’t be easy to find a buyer.

The future is also up in the air for Yunus Musah, who has played a lot this season but has certainly not been exceptional. The American is also suffering from the criticism of fans, but he could stay in Italy as Napoli boss Antonio Conte likes him, as do clubs in France and England.

Filippo Terracciano is also sure to leave, who has always worked with great seriousness and dedication but only got playing time under Paulo Fonseca and then ended up in oblivion.

  1. Chukwueze is so expensive that his departure would be best point.
Musah can be back up for Pulisic and save money on right winger (if Saelemaekers is going to be sold).

Ruben Loftus is player who can’t be used any more. And for Tomori we need strong centre back.

    1. No dude. No more Musah at RW, LW, RB, CM, LB, GK. He’s a CM and a bang average one at that. He has not really developed in his time here, particularly in the final third, where he often misplaces passes, dribbles into tackles or shanks the ball on a shot. It’s time for him to move on. Lower table PL team would be perfect for him, so he can run around along with all the other kick and chase types there.

  2. All of them arrived in 2023/24 season. The person responsible for their arrival should also follow suit to avoid the risk of repeating the same mistakes. Such huge financial wastage should have never happened for a huge private enterprise without any serious repercussion

    1. It is just 50%- 50% for new arrivals. Either he will flop or not.
If Pioli stayed we would have better results in serie a. But we might lose against Inter.

    2. Those players have no fault compared to the management that signed them. They too should follow them.

Fulani, Ibrahimovic, Moncanda and the rest should also face the exist door.

  3. It’s an issue if we keep thinking that the players are the problem.

Every player we thought are the problems are doing well elsewhere.

Even these players are sold, the management has no plans, no idea what they are doing, nothing!

  4. In every previous article its been said Milan will also sell Emerson. They suddenly changed their mind there too?

The players Milan need to sell are-

Florenzi (soon gonna get a huge suspension for gambling)
    Terracciano (simply not good enough)
    Emerson
    Musah
    Chuckwueze
    Loftus-Cheek
    Jovic
    Okafor
    Bennacer
Pobega (use in deal for Orsolini)
Adli (use in deal for Comuzzo)
Saelesmaekers (use in deal for Abraham)

Then replace all of them with Italian players like Lucca, Comozzu, Orsolini, Ricci and Parisi. Buy Fendrup (unless we can bring home Tonali which doesnt seem possible for many reasons) to fill the midfield.

Squad would then look something like this for 3-4-2-1:

    Maignan(Sportiello)-
    Comuzzo(Tomori)Thiaw (Gabbia)Pavlovic(Bartesaghi)-
    Walker(Jimenez) Fofana(Bondo)Ricci(Fendrup)Hernandez(Parisi)-Pulisic(Orsolini)Leao(Sottil)-Gimenez(Lucca, Abraham).

Solid 23 man squad and then youth players like Camarda, Torriani, Zeroli etc can be added if alot of injuries.

This would be resonable buys that would be within Milans budget if they can sell those 12 players or use them in deals to lower price.

    1. You are on point my brother .I totally agree with you, there’s a rumour about Tonali wanting to leave Newcastle i think we should go for him.Forza milan

      1. If we can bring Tonali to play alongside Reijnders with Fofana and Bondo as backups that would be the dream. But If Newcastle qualify for CL and Milan dont, we cant afford him and Newcastle dont need to sell him. We would have to wait another 1-2 year.

Ricci seems like a plausable deal that can get done. Then in 2-3 years we bring Tonali for a Ricci-Tonali pivot midfield 😉
