Mediaset: Milan battling full-back crisis as Dest will not be fit to face Cremonese

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s full-back department will be decimated for tomorrow night’s game against Cremonese at the Stadio Giovanni Zini, a report claims.

Alessandro Florenzi and club captain Davide Calabria are absentees as they will be out until after the break for the World Cup – therefore in 2023 – while on the other flank Theo Hernandez is suspended meaning Fode Ballo-Toure is likely to get the nod at left-back.

According to the latest from SportMediaset (via SempreMilan.it), Sergino Dest will not be part of Stefano Pioli’s squad list for tomorrow’s away match in Cremona against the struggling Grigiorossi.

The USA international left Milanello early today and will not participate in this afternoon’s training session, meaning the Barcelona loanee will therefore be absent for tomorrow’s match. This of course virtually guarantees that Pierre Kalulu will once again play on the right side of the defence, while waiting for news on what the centre-back pairing should be.
