Milan Futuro suffered relegation to Serie D in their first season, but the club plan to keep the project going.
Quotidiano Sportivo report that Inter are set to register an U23 team that will play in Serie C, while on the red and black side of the city the situation is less than rosy. From September (barring unforeseen shocks), the Futuro will be forced to play in the fourth tier.
Covisoc has in fact given the green light to 56 teams that have signed up for the next Serie C season and for Milan the residual hopes of a repechage have dissolved. Despite this, the project will continue.
The plan for the Futuro
The Rossoneri remain fully convinced that they can carry forward its idea of youth development (especially with a view to support and passage to the first team), regardless of the level they play at.
The first transfer moves will be outlined in the coming weeks. As for the management, the manager Jovan Kirovski should remain in his position, despite the failure of last season, but in any case the new sporting director Igli Tare will have a strong say in decisions related to the second team.

On the coaching side, the confirmation of Massimo Oddo is absolutely not to be excluded. Indeed, continuing in Serie D with the coach from Abruzzo would be a sign of continuity for Milan. Despite the serious defeat in the play-offs, Oddo has decisively revived the environment at Milanello and has valorized several members of the group.
The Futuro squad, in view of playing in Serie D, is the most nebulous aspect of the entire issue. As for the young players, on the one hand for high-level players like Davide Bartesaghi and Francesco Camarda playing among the amateurs does not appear to be an option. Many other players should be confirmed and new additions will arrive from the Primavera.
Finally, the fate of the most experienced core of the team is yet to be understood. Ianesi’s contract is expiring and Arezzo are after him, while Branca, Camporese, Magrassi and Quirini are all under contract for at least another year and therefore will have to evaluate their respective situations.
Kirovski and Ibrahimovic should have been sacked at the end of the season.
Get kirovski away from our young talents. Don’t let them even speak to the guy.
Their first season went so well. Why change anything?
