AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan is set to undergo some vital injury assessments on Wednesday that will shed more light on when he can return to the side, a report claims.
As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), the French goalkeeper is getting ready for some medical assessments on his calf, which is the repeated injury that has seen him miss a chunk of action for Milan as well as the World Cup in Qatar.
Now that the Rossoneri has returned from the training camp in Dubai, assessments can take place and normal training at Milanello can resume. That means more details can be harvested about Maignan’s condition.
The club are concerned that he will miss more than just the match against Salernitana on January 4 and that is why they are working to bring Marco Sportiello in from Atalanta earlier than the summer, or a different emergency goalkeeper to ensure good coverage.
