CorSera: Milan remain hopeful of securing Romagnoli’s renewal despite lack of agreement

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are not just battling with Franck Kessie’s expiring contract but also that of Alessio Romagnoli, though hope has not yet been lost.

As Il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) reports, Romagnoli’s contract is expiring at the end of this season and for the moment no agreement has been found between the parties to extend that deadline.

However, his situation is not quite the same as that of his Ivorian team-mate in midfield, who at this point is pretty much nailed on to leave at the end of the season. With Romagnoli there still seem to be some margins to reach an agreement with the Rossoneri hoping to keep their captain.

Daniele Longo reported that the centre-back isn’t satisfied with the offer that Milan have put forward and once again Lazio have emerged as an option on a free transfer. The No.13 is a boyhood Biancocelesti fan, which may play in their favour.
