GdS: Milan and Ibrahimovic to continue together – the Swede has two objectives in mind

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to put pen to paper on a new contract that will see him remain at AC Milan for another season, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) recall how the role that Ibrahimovic played in helping Milan to their 19th Scudetto was clear to everyone during the celebrations both at Casa Milan and on the open bus to Piazza Duomo. Now, the signing of the renewal of his contract is very close.

There is no need for a negotiation as such because both parties agree on how to move forward and it is just a matter of meeting in Milan or Garda to sign the contract, where Ibra is continuing his rehabilitation after knee surgery.

The agreement with the Swede should entail a low fixed base salary to which bonuses related to personal and team appearances and goals will be added once Zlatan returns to the field, presumably from January onwards.

There are two objectives in mind for the 40-year-old: a 20th Scudetto and therefore a second star, and an eighth Champions League. However, first he must get back to 100% and to help that he is recovering a few steps from the Gardaland amusement park.

He has rented a villa all to himself where he will spend the summer in the company of his family and especially his trusted physiotherapist Giorgio Gasparini, with whom the former Barcelona and Ajax striker has a long professional relationship, and he will soon take the next stage in his recovery by moving to the gym.

  1. It will be a fairy tale if Ibra managed to win his first Champions League at his last competitive game and with this Milan side.

It will also be a fairy tale if Milan win the Champions League via a comeback against Liverpool at Istanbul.

It will be the ultimate fairy tale if Messias score the winning goal in that final.

  2. Messias is a secret dangerous weapon. May be Divock Origi will only outperforms him. He is so cruel with goal scoring. Hahaha look at how he downed Atletico Madrid at their own yard. We need those performances. Now we need De Ketelaere, Dybala, Noa Lang and a top defender. Adli shall help Ibra win the Champions League. We shall beat Madrid in the finals. Milan is the only team that can beat Madrid in UEFA Champions league finals. Join AC Milan International Fan Base on +233248637248. Forza Ibra, Forza Milan, the love is deep
