GdS: Milan and Inter battling for Arsenal forward with €20-25m price tag

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Inter are both keen on signing Arsenal’s on-loan striker Folarin Balogun ahead of the summer, according to a report.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Balogun is in Milan’s sights for next season as they look for a future No.9, but Inter have also been following him for some time and have asked for information ahead of the summer mercato.

Balogun is attracting plenty of interest as he is having a great spell on loan at Stade Reims having scored 15 goals in 25 appearances, and at the end of the season he will leave Ligue 1 to return to Arsenal.

He is a movement-based striker who is very quick at attacking spaces and his margins for growth are still big. He would be ideal both for Milan – who have been focusing on quality young players for years – and for Inter who must rejuvenate their attack.

His price tag is currently around €20-25m, but if he continues to score between now and the end of the season, the figure will increase again. Now we must wait and see if either Milanese side make the investment.

  1. His price will not be less than 40m , i don’t understand why these newspapers force this story about 20m,why they pretending to be dumb? On the other hand, most probably Arsenal wont sell him anyway, they need a backup for Jesus and he would be a perfect choice.

    1. Reis Nelson and Eddie Nketia are already backups for G.Jesus. Having Balogun too is overkill for only the CF position.

  2. This folks are paid to report lies. Why will Arsenal sell a player who is one of the top scorers in Europe for 25 million Euros?

When small teams in England are buying players for for over 40-50 millions pounds.
