Reports: Milan and Inter want Ajax striker but Man Utd and Dortmund lead race

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are on the hunt for a new striker and they are targeting Ajax’s Sebastien Haller but they face some tough competition, a report claims.

Haller is having another great season with Ajax and the possibility of him leaving at the end of the current campaign is increasingly concrete, especially given the level of clubs reportedly interested and the chance for the Dutch club to make some big money.

According to Calciomercato.com, Inter and Milan both have their eyes on the Ivory Coast international as they look to bolster their frontline ahead of another potential battle for the Scudetto in 2022-23, but the competition is tough.

That is because the English source Sky Sports believe that Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are in fact the two clubs on pole to sign him, with the former having Erik Ten Hag (current Ajax boss) as their manager from next season and the latter needing to replace Erling Haaland.

  1. His trio in Frankfurt with rebic and jovic are deadly in Bundesliga . But i think he will choose to follow Ten Haag to MU. If still insist invest striker better sign Darwin Nunez or Jonathan david

  2. Ajax will ask for a lot of money and Man U has more to spend than any of Dortmund or the 2 Milan clubs; so he will almost certainly end up there to be reunited with Ten Haag. He is a fantastic player… I do remember watching him w/ Rebic and Jovic — they really were a deadly trio and made a deep run in Europa League that year and also won the Pokal (Rebic scored winning goal versus Bayern in final).
