CM: Milan and Inter both need sale before moving for Parma starlet – the situation

AC Milan and Inter are ready to do battle for Giovanni Leoni, but they are both in the same situation: a sale is needed first.

On Thursday, the news broke that Milan and Como had agreed a €25m deal for Thiaw. Only the final green light from the German defender is missing, and he could depart for the lake, bringing the Rossoneri’s summer takings north of €100m.

Leoni: Mercato derby awaits

As Calciomercato.com report, Inter are keen on signing Leoni from Parma, just as Milan are. The Nerazzurri are also looking at Mosquera and Gasiorowski of Valencia, but also Koni De Winter of Genoa and Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace.

Just like the Rossoneri, Inter want to rejuvenate their centre-back department but they need a sale first. The Oaktree revolution has begun and of the back line at present, four have uncertain futures and could depart.

Yann Bisseck has a lot of admirers in the Premier League and Bundesliga and, in the event of a more than advantageous offer – having cost only €8m in total – he could leave.

Francesco Acerbi and Matteo Darmian have contracts expiring on 30 June 2026 and there is a termination clause (upon payment of a severance package) that can be activated in the current window.

Also expiring on 30 June 2026 is Stefan De Vrij, but it is for Carlos Augusto (currently considered the left-handed alternative to Bastoni) that the most interesting proposals have arrived and have so far been rejected by the Nerazzurri.

There will be at least one farewell. Only then will Marotta, Ausilio and Baccin be able to make a move for Leoni or his alternatives.

  1. De vrij contract was 2026 and bisseck only 8m. Please Milan steal that both players. We can see bisseck was monster for both Milan midfielders and strikers. Hahaha

  2. Inter don’t need to sell a defender to buy Leoni, the only reason why he hasn’t been signed so far is Parma’s reluctance to sell him.

    1. They need to sell or terminated contract one CB. Oaktree dont want squad too fat. ACM also need to sell because there is already 4 CB in here while only 2 will play / week, keeping too many player in bench will reduce their value and make them unhappy

  3. With €10-15m we can get Skriniar, that should be enough.
I find it difficult to imagine that we aren’t after him.
